7 years ago, I created a plugin called Hide Admin Menu that helps WordPress admins hide admin menu items and admin bar items from other users. It was a premium plugin. But not anymore. You can download it free from wordpress.org now!
The idea for the plugin came from a real situation when I built websites for clients. I needed to restrict access to several parts of the websites such as the website settings or plugin configuration. I didn’t want our clients to change WP Super Cache settings or install more plugins.
That’s why I built the plugin. The plugin does a small job and does it well. So I released it on CodeCanyon to make some money to support the development and maintenance. And it got almost 1000 sales!
But today, I think it’s better to release it to the public, so many people, especially webmasters and developers, can use it for their client websites. The plugin is available at:
Feel free to download and use it. If you like it, please rate it 5 stars on wordpress.org!
